Jérémie is a native of Avesnes-sur-Helpe in Northern France, where our beekeeping adventure is based. Amanda is originally from Michigan in the United States, and has been enjoying life in France since 2019. We have been beekeepers since 2021 and it has brought great pleasure to our lives. We proudly focus our project on raising and protecting Avesnois black bees, the species local to our area. Our bees feed off of the wildflowers in our garden as well as the flora of our rural village. We maintain a small number of hives in order to give each the attention and care it deserves to thrive.
